Tuesday Nights at Sale Folk Club

Sale Folk Club – Tuesday 27th October 2026

There was a warm welcome for everybody in Sale Folk Club’s new venue, Sale Conservative Club. PAUL McD celebrated by going for a ride on THE WALL OF DEATH but because KATH and STAN were on FIDDLERS’ GREEN and PETER was off to WOODSTOCK, it was up to PAUL RILEY to look for the PHANTOM FOLK SINGER. Staying local, JOHN was in control of FIDO (Faeces Intake Disposal Operations), but MIKE couldn’t help because he was off to PARADISE and BRENDAN was in DUBLIN.

Meanwhile ERIC was busy with LISH YOUNG BUY A BROOM and BERNARD was going back to THE TOWN I LOVED SO WELL. This was when STEVE remembered there was a time WHEN YOU AND I CAN BE AS ONE but because ALLEN said I WISH I WAS BACK IN BELFAST TOWN, it was no place for GRAHAM who was trying to spend his GREEN BACK DOLLAR.

PAUL McD was worried about the DEPORTEES and KATH and STAN said there was NO TELLING because PETER had the BLUES and ERIC was on THE BONNIE SHIP THE DIAMOND. Eric was then joined by BERNARD and JACK STEWART before the break and time for the RAFFLETTES.

After the break and the raffle, PAUL RILEY decided to RAISE A RUCKUS TONIGHT, because JOHN was in the DIRTY OLD TOWN, and MIKE was worried about LYIN’ EYES. Not worried at all, MARGARET told us about World Pasta Day with REMEMBRANCE OF THINGS PASTA, which sent STEVE on the BLUE SIDE OF LONESOME, ALLEN off on MACPHERSON’S RANT, and GRAHAM to the CITY OF NEW ORLEANS. They were followed by KATH and STAN and the WILDWOOD BOYS, but PETER decided to go to KANSAS CITY.

Not too happy about this, PAUL RILEY said YOU AINT GOIN’ NOWHERE because JOHN wanted to say HELLO MARY LOU. This gave MIKE some REAL HOPE, and STEVE stayed SO I COULD FIND MY WAY. The evening of live music ended with ALLEN asking us to SIGN ON THE DOTTED LINE.
