SALE FOLK CLUB 28 JULY 2026
ALLEN began the evening by showing us THE WAY OUT OF MANCHESTER leaving KATH AND STAN to head for FIDDLERS GREEN but alas, PETE fell on HARD TIMES unlike PAUL who ended up in SIN CITY and MARGARET was with MAGGIE IN THE WOOD. HEATHER reported on the ALTRINCHAM 10 leaving ALLEN to say WHAT’S IT TO YOU but KATH AND STAN preferred to be with the FORSAKEN MERMAID. Then the party started as RICHARD brought his OLD FRIENDS and PAUL came with his LITTLE SISTER so with MARGARET they all danced to TERRY TEHANS WALTZ and even JAMES was WILLIN’. HEATHER reported on the buffet saying the SNAILS HAVE NOT YET ARRIVED whilst ALLEN went for SONNET EIGHTEEN –NEARLY. Towards the end of the first half, KATH AND STAN went to MOTHERLAND sending RICHARD off down BACK COUNTRY LANES and PAUL said I BELONG TO THE SEA. With the raffle imminent, MARGARET gave us the SALE FOLK CLUB RAFFLE POEM concluding in THE SUPER BAND with WAGGON WHEEL and much audience participation.
